Relax, take deep breaths, and move slowly with intention.
Ensure that your face skin is completely clean before you start. Prep your skin/scalp with a serum or oil. Use slow, gentle strokes and light to medium pressure by holding the tool at a 30 to 45-degree angle. To experience the benefits of GUA SHA practice it 2-3 times every week.
To use the Hair Comb Gua Sha, start by holding the tool in your dominant hand with the comb section facing down towards your scalp. Starting at the front of your scalp, use the teeth of the comb to gently massage your scalp in small circular motions, working your way towards the back of your head. Repeat this process several times, focusing on areas where you may have tension or discomfort.
Next, flip the tool over so that one of the three curved sides is facing up. Starting at the center of your forehead, use the tool to gently massage your face in upward and outward motions, moving towards your temples and then down to your chin. Repeat this process on different areas of your face and neck, focusing on areas where you may have tension or want to stimulate blood flow.
